Welcome to Lisette's gorgeous Paris home in the beautiful back-end of romantic Montmartre village; known as the magnificent Amelie style 'Apartment Lisette'. This is where Founder of Petite B&B's Regina Ferreira, resides whenever she returns to Paris for annual B&B inspections. As her home of choice we highly recommend this home to all travelers.

About your hostess:

Our lovely and experienced Paris B&B host, Lisette Julio, is a local resident of Montmartre for over 20 years and as someone who has been working in the B&B industry for over 20 years too, Lisette understand what it takes to provide a beautiful home and memorable and thorough service to her guests. Lisette lives between Paris and Trouville-sur-Mere where she runs an all womens co-work space. She is a wonderful woman to chat to and be inspired by her encouraging strength and supportive nature. She is naturally a warm, kind and attentive lady always going above and beyond to ensure her guests are happy, comfortable, well serviced and always feeling connected to her. The apartment is always impeccably presented and our guests express so much appreciation for Lisette and her care.

Lisette, as one of our most loyal hosts, will welcome you into your Paris home like an old friend rather than paying customers and will offer you an abundance of local and city-wide tips and advice, this is her passion and her favourite part of the B&B service. She is available any time 24hrs for help or advice about the city while you are staying in her apartment, as she will be living nearby and as she loves to help guests with insider tips and information, about getting around and what to see, as well as ensuring you are always completely happy and feeling secure and comfortable in her home. When Lisette is not living nearby she is in Trouville-sur-Mer in Normandy where she runs that womens co-work space, but she has a reliable and lovely representative to be the main contact throughout guests stay and offers the same level of attention, care and helpful tips and advice. Lisette will however, always do the welcome.

Additional Service offered to women travelers: Lisette offers a welcome 1or 2 hour guided tour of Montmartre on foot (after check-in) where she will guide you to the SECRET spots, not the touristy spots, showing you the real heart of this incredible arty village. You will discover secret vineyards, bars, cafe, old streets, famous gourmet shops, unique monuments, where famous artists once lived and more. 60euro per hour. This service can be selected at checkout when you are booking this apartment online.

About the area:

Petite Paris Apartment Lisette is a charming private apartment tucked away from the touristic masses yet walking distance to the beautiful sights that have made this nostalgic and picturesque artistic village famous; such as - Place du Tertre, Sacre Coeur Basilica, Rue Abbesses and the Moulin Rouge. Staying here you are in the real residential Paris, where you will be safely rubbing shoulders with working class Parisians. Immediately at your door are always shops, cafes, bars and more, with people about so you are never alone walking down quiet streets. It is not touristy but more or a quaint local village life atmosphere. The REAL Paris. Yet inside the apartment itself, all is utterly tranquil and quiet for peaceful sleep, and between its beauty, authentic style and space, this is where your real intimate Petite Paris apartment experience awaits.

This special Petite Paris B&B Apartment sits on the famous Rue Lamarck and has metro and buses at your door taking you to all of Paris' main monuments and sights in minutes. Surrounded by that old-world, cobblestone, bohemian and quintessential Parisian atmosphere; and with it’s own bustling village life of cafes, brasseries, shops, galleries, museums, award winning boulangeries, bars, live music venues and more, this beautiful home and neighbourhood is a delightful little Paris within Paris. A charming Paris B&B and Paris experience awaits.

 About Arrival:

On arrival at Lisette’s tranquil and fully equipped 2 bedroom Paris apartment (for up to 5 guests) you will be warmly greeted by Lisette or her representative (when she cannot be there), and shown around the home. At checkin Lisette or her assistant will offer a breakfast basket with fresh foods to help you with your morning meals and a bottle of welcome wine too. Please note: the breakfast basket is only on check-in to help you with your next days breakfast; other days you will need to go to the local boulangerie for your morning treasures of croissants, baguettes and cakes - just like the locals do.

About the apartment:

As your professional B&B finder, we have selected this home for its beautiful interior and intimacy and charming style. Guests who are interested in experiencing authentic life in Paris living independently in a real Parisian home and in a typical historic building will love this quaint Parisian apartment. Not another ‘generic’ and stark apartment rental, this is a real family home and also a professional ‘B&B Apartment' in Paris complete with books, magazines, art, trinkets and intimate homey touches thanks to Lisette who lives in the home most of the year but offers it to travelers when she is away.

Completely equipped with all the essentials and necessities for independent living, our Petite Paris B&B apartment of 48m2 with traditional oak wood flooring, french mouldings and fine french decor and touches, offers 2 double bedrooms of approx 15m2 (beds are 140cmx190cm and 160cmx190cm) and work table and wardrobe and there is the possibility of an additional single mattress of 90cm that can be added for a 5th person in the lounge (ideally for a child), as well as 1 bathroom with shower with all towels and linens provided, a fully equipped separate kitchen with fridge, oven, stove, microwave, toaster, kettle and all cooking utensils as well as basic provisions left (salt, sugar, tea etc) and even a clothes washing machine. In the lounge and dining room there is a TV with cable and great wifi connection.

This apartment has heat throughout though no air-con but fans are provided if ever needed (Please note: Paris is not a hot city, even in Summer the average temperature is 23degrees, therefore it is not usual to find a real Parisian family home with air-con, it is most unusual for residents – they are seen as unnecessary and locals do not have them).

Please NOTE: This apartment building has 2 entries/exits. Entering from the Rue Lamarck where the metro and buses are, requires you to walk down 2 flights to the apartment door - this means to exit you are going up 2 flights to street level. From the quieter back entry on Rue Darwin, you are required to climb UP one level to the apartment - this means you need to climb DOWN 1 flight to reach the street behind. This 'up and down' is due to the building being on one of those infamous Montmartre sloping hills. To avoid too much climbing we recommend arriving by Rue Lamarck to walk 2 flights DOWN stairs with ease to your apartment, and departing via the back door also which would be one flight DOWN. Note when you exit via the back street on Rue Darwin, there is still a street-stairwell to reach Rue Lamarck with the metro and buses.

About breakfast service:

On arrival Lisette will meet you and show you your way around the apartment and will point you to some lovely local cafes, restaurants and sights to start your Montmartre experience. Lisette will also offer a basic but always fresh and delicious breakfast basket of bread, jams, butter, fruits, tea, coffee, milk and orange juice, ready for you to prepare your daily breakfasts. The local boulangerie is within steps for you to purchase fresh croissants and baguettes daily just as the locals do. Additional basic ingredients will also already be in the kitchen and fridge. When Lisette arrives on the first morning, this is a wonderful opportunity to ask her some questions that have since come up since your check-in and questions about your following days plans and sightseeing. she will be most obliging.

TIP: When you want to eat breakfast out go to iconic Montmartre café down the street ‘Cafe Refuge’. Other cafes we highly recommend nearby are: Soul Kitchen, Café Marcel and l'Cepage Montmartrois. For boulangeries we love nearby: Arnaud Larher, Gontran Cherrier, Arnaud Delmontel. Lisette will have more to share and add to this list.

 Add-on Service:

Why not enhance your stay and take an intimate night tour by car with our Paris chauffeur Karyn. Karyn will pick you up and the home and in her impeccably comfortable vehicle, and like your own concierge she will whisk you away to all the best spots of Paris. A charming local Karyn offers prestigious service while being her warm genuine self  offering information and tips about the city. She will quickly and easily become a friend in Paris. Comment: I stayed at Apartment Lisette 19 (lucky) days! Anne’s home is beautifully decorated with lovely furniture, pictures, books, decors. Every detail tells a story and brings a peaceful and warm, homely environment. It feels like a home away from home. Very comfortable bed, quiet bedroom, lovely cushions, blankets, everything one needs to feel warm and cosy. Apartment Lisette is in bohemian part of Montmartre where you can rub shoulders with friendly locals, young families, but very close to Montmartre famous sights, just a few streets away. I enjoyed strolling through the neighbourhood, exploring bookshops, excellent bistros, cafes, shops, museums, local cemeteries, vineyards... So many lovely places just around the apartment. Anne was also very helpful. Even while she was away, she was always ready to answer my call or help me with pieces of information. It was my longest stay in Paris and I felt like I was at home. Thank you, Anne, I hope I will see you again and enjoy your lovely home, sometime in future.

Comment: The bathroom is small, still comfortable, probably would benefit from a tiny upgrade, but this is Paris and old infrastructure.

Comment: Apartment Lisette is very well located in Montmartre, a charming neighborhood, and provided a typical 'french style' experience. Our host met us promptly on arrival and was very welcoming giving us many tips and advice on the locality and was contactable throughout our stay if needed. Whilst the apartment is typically small, it was comfortable, especially the beds and fairly well equipped. Future guests would benefit if the apartment was given a thorough 'detailing' .

Comment: We loved our stay in Apartment Lisette. Anne met us at the apartment and she was so helpful with our arrival and departure process. It felt just like coming home after each day exploring our favourite places in Paris. The location is perfect, quiet yet so close to transport and also shops and cafés. Definitely where we will stay on our next visit.

Comment: Lovely apartment located in the heart of the beautiful Montmartre district. The metro is literally around the corner making the journey very easy. Old building and very small accommodation, very typical of Paris. The kitchen is well equipped and the breakfast left by Lisette was very appreciated (jam, bread, butter, coffee, milk). In short it was a pleasant stay.

Comment: Hello lovely, sorry to take so long to reply. It was brilliant thank you, both the service and the apartment. Mum loved it and so did we. The apartment was so cute and cosy, all the furniture and Everything was gorgeous and we really felt we were in Paris . What a joy, and a wonderful place to relax and recover from our whirlwind journey. The location was fantastic and especially because the Football was on it was so much quieter up the hill. The metro was so close as was Cafes the small supermarket and even the pharmacy. I hope to one day book again. Lisette was lovely even though she didn't have much time, she was always on hand via email with tips and helpful advice, she's even booked our taxi to the station for our trip on the Eurostar. She was just wonderful as were you. Thank you Regina for all your quick replies, helpful, hints and knowledge and always for being enthusiastic. Your love of Paris shone through with every conversation. We could only really go into the apartment after 4pm but we managed to pass the time by visiting the gorgeous Cafe on the corner. There was no wine which we fine as we went and bought some hee hee! Thanks again so much for your lovely self ❤️ I will send photos in another email. Thanks again, Guinevere.

Comment: Hi Anne, Just wanted to say THANK YOU for accepting us into your apartment and your life, albeit for a very short time. We had a great time in Paris again. We have 4 metro train tickets un-used, which we have left on the table with your key, hopefully you can use them or your next guests. Kind regards and thanks again, Ian & Lyn Goodgame.

Comment: Hi Regina, I'll start by saying I miss Paris immensely!!! Take me back now!! We had such a wonderful time and we must credit you with organising and recommending Lisettes apartment. The location was fantastic! To have all those fabulous restaurants, bakeries and shops at our door step was excellent. We ate well every day, every meal. The little mini supermarket across the road was great and the young guy there got to know us well. Jolie on the corner was great. It was hard resisting going back to the same place because it was so good. Il Pardrino has the best pasta ever -- did I mention I'm Italian?! And having the station so close too. Fantastic. The locals got to know us well and waved whenever we walked by. That experience is exactly what we were looking for and I think that would be hard to find in most places. So thanks again. The apartment was just as lovely as we expected. Very clean and super comfortable and so stylish too. My daughter loved having her own room and the highlight for her was opening her French Windows every morning & greeting us with "bonjour". Very cute! Our only disappointment was not having Anne greet us and give us some local knowledge when we found out she was in Normandy. We were disappointed that she wasn't around to guide us but having said that -- we found our way around Montmartre very easily and really you can't go wrong with places to eat -- wherever we went was excellent. I would have preferred her to tell me that she wasn't going to be around when we first talked. But in the scheme of things these are very minor issues and beyond your control. Would we stay there again? Absolutely!! Thanks again for making Paris so memorable & to Lisette for opening up her beautiful home to us. We really felt like we lived there. Thanks again! Simone.

Comment: 2 day family stay in Paris. Anne's apartment is ideally located in the Montmartre district at 30 seconds from the metro but in a very quiet tranquil street. We loved to rest in this cozy and welcoming place after each day of sightseeing.

Comment: Lisette has forwarded our left behind items to one of or next stops in Paris which is wonderful for her to do that. We had a wonderful week in Paris, culminating in my running of the Paris marathon. The location of the apartment is perfect, 2 minutes walk to the Metro and 2 minutes walk to an abundance of restaurants in the Montmartre area without being in the tourist zone. Sacre Couer is just up the hill with many famous Montmartre landmarks on the way. Our family of two adults and two boys felt at home in this apartment for a week and could have stayed longer. This was our second Petite Paris stay in our two visits to Paris in 4 years and both have been perfect for us to experience Paris. Regards, Paul.

Comment: Both David and I were extremely happy with the B&B and service provided by yourself and Lisette, our "hostess", in the lead up to our arrival and whilst we were there. Nothing was too much trouble to assist us in making our fabulous stay in Paris such a memorable one. We will be sure to recommend your services and of course Lisette Anne's delightful apartment in Motnmartre. With kind regards, Anna & David.
