She is a lover of art and Paris history and loves to share her tips and knowledge with guests who see often invite into her private section of her home, her warm lounge room for a tea and chat. Sometimes she invites a close friend of hers to join you. Brigitte speaks French and English and understands some Italian and Spanish (limited).
About the location:
Our building dates from the 17thC and is located in the heart of Paris
on the left-bank (5eme), on a very sought-after, quiet, safe and very central street -
'Rue Maitre-Albert' a traditional ancient street (one of Paris' oldest) with
antique bookshops and antique decor shops, craft-men and artist
workshops etc and 2 restaurants on the street. The home is located mere
steps to the Seine river too making it a very sought after and
exclusive location as you will reach the Seine islands - ile de la Cite, Ile Saint Louis - and the Notre Dame Cathedral (which can be seen by merely walking down to the
end of your small street) in mere seconds, and it is within walking distance (10mins
approx) to the bustling chic and classic Saint-Germain-des-Pres
neighbourhood with its cult cafes, brasseries and more. Also nearby the
Sorbonne university, Cluny Museum (Medieval Art museum), transport
facilities (metro and bus 3 mins away). B&B Brigitte is the ideal base to

it, unpretentious atmosphere, classic wood floors complete with the
creaks and squeaks and typical Parisian charm of old, tiled floors,
slanted doorways and windows - the perfect authentic Paris. This is also a very lived in home and guests can expect to feel like they
are staying at a great aunts house, with old historic books, art, family
heirloom and many stories to be told by Brigitte our lovely host who LOVES to chat with travelers in her home, encouraging them to explore the city like a local, sharing her secret spots with them as well as all her safety advice. The home despite being classic and lived in, is impeccably presented, clean and very organised, guests will still feel very much like guests who have been carefully thought of and catered to with professionalism and wonderful hospitality . Towels, bed linens are all quality assured, basic toiletries provided etc.
Petite Paris B&B Brigitte offers 2 enchanting private entry guest rooms with entries straight off the hallway. Comment: Very pleasant stay in a comfortable apartment with easy access to many sights. Brigitte was so friendly and helpful for exploring Paris and our daughters loved being tucked away in the loft of the family room with so many books to browse. Highly recommended.

Comment: We spent a lovely three nights here with our grandson. Madame Chatignoux was welcoming and made us feel at home. We loved walking a couple of yards up the road to the Seine and seeing a great view of Notre Dame. We are looking forward to returning next year with our grand daughter.

Comment: I love the feeling of returning to Paris when I turn onto rue Maitre-Albert, pass the Antinea pizza place on the left and Le Onze bar on the right, catch a glimpse of Notre Dame and the end of the rue and arrive at the big blue-green doors at number 7. Madame Chatignoux-Roussel is a wonderful host and I will always treasure my visits with her.

Comment: We - 2 adults with children of 3 & 11 - wanted to stay in a reasonably priced B&B in central Paris. This was just the job. The bedroom was large enough for all of us, and even though our 3 year old did not fancy sleeping above us in the mezzanine beds, there was plenty of room for the 3 of us in the bottom bed, leaving the 11 year old with the upper space to herself. There was a separate bathroom and a breakfast area, which was handy for sharing a bottle of wine, once the children were asleep. Brigitte was friendly and accommodating, and we had a two good nights in a perfect location.
