For the independent woman traveler who wants to meet other women travelers staying in the same family style B&B, with privacy yet the freedom to come and go, a bed without the breakfast BUT with communal use of a kitchen, then stay in this practical and very beautiful 2 level home in Paris offering 3 independent rooms, beautiful lounge with balcony. Our Petite B&B Elisabeth is ideal for older women who feel a hostel is no longer suitable or way too 'young' for them, yet are looking for an affordable low-maintenance stay, still with all the beautiful Parisian apartment aesthetics and where meeting other travelers and enjoying this elegant home together is your wish.
About Elisabeth and Florence:
Spread over the 5th and 6th levels of a traditional Haussmann building, this is a magnificent tastefully decorated home by Elisabeth who is a world traveler too and a creatuve artists. Elisabeth is a local native Parisian and has grown up in Paris. She has been offering her home for years and offers it as a traditional Paris B&B to travelers who want to stay in a real home with a lovely host to look after them. It is a home that promises an authentic intimate and complete cultural immersion in Paris. However, as Elisabeth is often out of Paris (creating an eco B&B in the French countryside), she has her 23 year old daughter Florence based in the home to welcome and look after guests while she is away. Florence is extremely professional, social and chatty and attentive to guests needs. She speaks perfect English too and also has an additional assistant to help her in the B&B.
As the home is unoccupied by the owner Elisabeth or Florence, for this reason, the B&B is strictly offered as an authentic home with more usage and access as well as independence than you would find in a classic B&B where the local hosts are living there too (where there us usually space limits for guests). Here guests can use the entire home as their own. With Elisabeth away, her daughter Florence offers basic assistance such as breakfast service if requested and essential help; otherwise, the kitchen is available for guests to use in full, any time - guests can and will largely tend to their own needs.
About the location:
Our Petite Paris 'B&B Elisabeth' is located in the very central 9th arrondissement (the border of the 2nd
arrondissement), in an unexpected pocket of Paris. Right smack in the centre yet in a triangle where tourists do not go or know about, a very authentic residential little village, like a little Paris within Paris, here you will miraculously avoid the traps and live peacefully and authentically rubbing shoulders with the locals. The street Boule Rouge is also a very tranquil quiet street. We assure this is one of the safe areas of Paris for women travelers. It is also conveniently located not far from Gare du Nord, the main train station in and out of Paris both nationally and internationally, therefore making this an ideal short stay accommodation.
Petite Paris B&B ELisabeth is walking distance to the Opera, Galleries Lafayette Department store, Palais Royal near the Louvre, the bustling markets on rue Montorgueil, as well as the famouse beautiful historic passages. he Seine and Marais are also convenient via metro (approx 10 minutes by train) and the metro is only 7 mins walk from the home. The village of Montmartre is 20 minutes on foot, 10 minutes by metro.
About the apartment:
In Elisabeth’s Paris home there is a double room on the 1st floor as soon as you enter the apartment it is on the right and it has its own private bathroom. There is a twin bedroom on the 2nd floor and also the family suite on the 2nd floor that caters 1 to 6 guests.
All rooms are decorated with modern charm mixed with classic traditional and typical Parisian style. These rooms are booked out to individual women guests/groups so please note you may not be the only guests in this home. However we invite all guests who love to meet and mingle with other travelers and enjoy the convivial life in a lovely shared B&B home, as this is a gorgeous home in the heart of the city.
Please note: in this Petite B&B, women are able to travel with men partners and families, so while it is usually all women, on occasion men may be lodging with their partners and/or families too. For those women independent travelers who do not necessarily need to stay in an entirely women's ONLY home, and who do not mind this possibility.
The large fully equipped kitchen is left as a shared space for guests to prepare their own breakfasts and enjoy making small snacks.
About the rooms:
Room #1 at B&B Elisabeth in Paris is the double guest room on the 1st floor of the home (5th floor of the building with lift) and has its own private bathroom. The beds in this room can be separated into twins if requested. This room has a comfortable chair, work table and shelves, and there is a lovely terrace to enjoy direct and privately from the room to watch the street and pedestrians below, or enjoy the rooftop romance of the city over a tea or aperitif. The large window brings in a lot of light and feeling of space.
Room #2 is a twin guest room on the 2nd floor of the home (stairs approx 20) on the 6th floor of the building.
Room #3 is the recently renovated family suite on the second floor. This is an attic style space, large and bright with 3 separate sleeping nooks with 2 double and 2 single beds for up to 6 guests..
Room #2 and #3 share one bathroom on the second floor of the home. Elisabeth's daughter and assistant is extremely professional, discreet and understanding of guests' need for comfort, and always keeps the bathrooms while guests are out.
Women are free to enjoy and relax in the shared communal lounge room anytime and enjoy the lovely terrace balcony for a morning coffee, or afternoon aperitif before heading out on the town. Free WiFi is adequate in speed, (medium strength) provided throughout the home.
Elisabeth or Florence will provide basic breakfast daily if requested for an additional 8 euro per person. We do advise that this is a very basic breakfast and recommend that guests to go out and purchase their own fresh baguettes and pastries at the local boulangeries like the locals do, bring it back to the kitchen to prepare and enjoy in your spacious lounge and dining. For 8 euro breakfast consists of tea/coffee, OJ, baguettes, pastries, butter and jam only.

- The apartment is strictly non smoking.

Comment: Enjoyed our experience at the Elizabeth bnb. We appreciated the relaxed and welcoming environment. Joy was great and shared lots of information answering any questions we had with genuine interest and patience. Loved Kiki 1 & 2. It was clean and tidy and most importantly quiet

Comment: Very close to everything, clean, housekeeper lives in, sometimes has friends visit. It appear this is a drop off point for other Bnb’s with bathrooms used for many travellers passing through. Some days arrived back to find up to 6 unknown people using bathroom when picking up luggage left in hallway. Had to move luggage to enter our apartment? Otherwise, very lovely, very central with some emphasis on not using facilities too much in order to save money? Alison

Comment: We had a wonderful stay at the apartment! It was perfect for our big family, and Florence our hostess could not have been more accommodating. She really made us feel as if we were staying with friends. The location was convenient to all of our activities. In fact, we hope to be back in 2 years with additional family members! We would highly recommend Elisabeth's apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Paris with delightful personal touches. Jennifer

Comment: Hi Regina. We had an absolutely wonderful time in Paris and I am happy to provide feedback. Opera was absolutely lovely, we both felt away from the tourist traps and it felt very authentic. Elisabeths B&B was beautiful and very clean. The only negative was that there were 2 cats in the apartment, this wouldn't have been a problem except that both my friend and I have cat allergies, so maybe it could be made clearer if there are cats in the home. Our host did resolve matters as soon as we raised it and there were no other issues. He went over and above to make our stay as simple as possible The level of service and instructions provided by Petite Paris was fantastic. I have already recommended your company to other friends looking for an authentic experience of Paris Kind regards, Helen.

Comment: Bonjour Regina, Finally a chance to email you back with some comments! Thank you for assisting me so well in booking accommodation at a great rate for the four of us women. I loved the apartment and Randall was very helpful with everything. We didn’t end up having breakfast as the ladies wanted to get up early and go out and about. I loved the loft we stayed in but the other ladies were shocked to share a room and a bathroom - I think they were just not used to travelling and when they did, they used trendy hotels! They hadn’t read the details of the home before booking so they just had to make do. I was very disappointed in their expectations. The loft set up was perfect for four friends or a family of four with separate comfortable beds and lots of room. I will certainly use your service again and have recommended your site to many of my friends and colleagues who are wanting to travel to Paris. Many thanks for your service! Regards, Joanne.

Comment: We did indeed have a lovely time in Paris once again; it is always a delight and no doubt we will return. Elisabeth’s B&B was a charming house, in a very vibrant and interesting area. The information about the property was generally very good and quite accurate, although it wasn’t obvious to us that we would have access to the kitchen and could in fact have prepared our other meals there if we had wanted. With access to the kitchen and fridge space allocated to us, and a number of nearby supermarkets one can do much better self-catering, reducing the cost while widening the choice of food, and also avoiding the time constraints of having a set breakfast period. To her credit Elisabeth confirmed to refund the amount we had paid for breakfast for the remaining days. The property itself is in a great area packed with entertainment and restaurants and the accommodation is very good. As you know we had the 'Double Balcony Room' which was large and we had a roomy separate bathroom to ourselves, and shared use of a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious lounge area. Though the bathroom was only serviced on two occasions out of the 4 nights we were there. We rarely saw other guests and Wi-fi is free and was excellent. While we did enjoy our stay here very much, the house didn't have the feel of a 'homely' B&B more of a DIY stay. The property is clean and comfortable but the lack of the owner’s presence is obvious. Nevertheless we would still recommend the property to the independent traveller not wanting the usual, more personal, B&B experience. I hope these comments are helpful to you, and Elisabeth too. All the best, Alison.
