Welcome to an art lover's home! Odile’s Paris B&B is a gorgeous inviting home full of character and charm with pieces of art and antique decor to intrigue and delight. This is a cozy, homey and most quintessential and traditional Paris family home with one of our most loyal and experienced professional hosts, having offered her B&B for over 15 years. On the first level of Odile's apartment is a large guestroom with large window and terrace access with Eiffel Tower views; on the second level of her apartment are 2 more air conditioned guest bedrooms both with exceptional views of the rooftops of Paris and the sparkling Eiffel Tower seen from the balconies. Each room has a private bathroom and located between the rooms is a guests sitting area/lounge with a balcony and Eiffel view again. Odile serves fresh traditional breakfasts downstairs in her dining room daily or on the balcony when it is warm. This Paris bed and breakfast can accommodate up to 6 people.
About your host:
Parisian born in 1957, Odile comes from a large family. Her parents live in Normandy; one of her daughters lives in Orleans, the other in Switzerland; and her husband’s family is from Ales. She will share with pleasure her knowledge of France and she will also offer to guide you through her area of Paris on a personal walking tour.
Odile worked as a doctor at the magnificent Reunion Island in the east of France in Epinal before she followed her husband, also a doctor at the OMS (Organisation Mondiale de la Santé – worldwide health care), when he began to work abroad. They lived ten years in Copenhagen (Denmark) and five years in Bonn (Germany), which allowed her to acquire a good level of English, a little German and Danish.
This ‘globe trotting’ couple has also travelled to Canada, the U.S.A., and South America (Brazil, Peru, Argentina). Odile now lives by herself in the large apartment that she loves to share with her visitors as her husband passed away and her children are now adults. She has four grand children, two granddaughters living in Switzerland who visit from time to time, and her two grandsons born in 2004 and 2006 who live in Paris and visit regularly.
About the home:
This large Paris apartment of eight rooms on two levels (170 m2) is located on the 9th and 10th floors (with an elevator lift until the 9th level only) of a building built in 1960, located in a small and quiet street very close to the Violet Square and metro station Felix Faure. The apartment offers several terraces on all sides with magnificent Eiffel views. This building of high level standing is very secure, with 24 hour security supervision as well as a keeper during the day.
Odile and her husband bought their apartment a few years ago and made lots of changes and renovations to it, going so far as changing the location of the internal staircase to a spot that allowed more light to come into the apartment from east to west. It offers several terraces both sides, the largest (35 m2) being close to the guest room with a magnificent view of Paris, with the Eiffel Tower directly in front of you.
On the level downstairs is where you will find guest room No 3 with its own private bath, the dining room opening onto a large terrace on the west side and the kitchen. The floor upstairs is Odile’s bedroom and bathroom/toilets, an office and two more air conditioned guest rooms (rooms 1 and 2) each with private bathroom and balcony with Eiffel views and there is an extra small guest living room sitting between the two rooms as an extra living space for guests to relax in.With its large windows, the apartment offers plenty of light and ambience and it has a wonderful mix of modern and antique touches. You can find some traditional valuable old pieces of furniture purchased during the hosts travels or inherited from the family, such as the two ‘closed beds’ typical of Brittany, with their sliding doors, or the Danish clock in the living room. As art lovers, Odile and her husband decorated their apartment with lots of modern and classic paintings. Odile loves to show interested guests the different pieces and share their stories.
About Guest bedroom #1 - on the first floor:

About Guestrooms #2 and #3 - on the second floor of the home:
Room #2: (15 m2) offers the advantage of direct access onto the large terrace where the majestic Eiffel tower shines and sparkles in the evening over the rooftops of Paris. In Spring the terrace is full of flowers and is equipped with a table, chairs and a beach umbrella.
This room is equipped with twin beds (90 x 200) prepared with quilts. If you wish these beds can be offered separated or joined to make a double ‘queen size’ bed (180 x 200). Please advise before your arrival. The bedroom is furnished with two bedside tables, an oak wood wardrobe which is over 300 years old, and the desk belonging to Odile’s husband’s grandfather. The walls are white decorated with beautiful paintings. You will admire the superb tapestry from Aubusson of the 18th century.
This bedroom is not suitable for people who suffer from allergies as it is laid out with exotic carpets.
Room 3: is not far from bedroom #2 and it has its own private bathroom. Note: these 2 rooms are always offered to the same group of people. If you book room 2 only, then room 3 on this floor will be vacant.
This room (11 m2) is equipped with twin beds (90 x 200) which, upon request can be joined to make a queen size double bed. Its decoration is simple and relaxing. A few paintings with bright colours are placed on the white walls. It is equipped with two bedside tables, a wardrobe from Normandy, and a little library with books for children. It also gives an access to a terrace, on the other side of the apartment.
This bedroom is suitable for people who suffer from allergies, as it is free from allergens. There are no feathers in the pillows and the carpets can be removed before your arrival if requested.
The bathroom and the toilets are for the private use of the visitors. It is equipped with a bath, a wash basin, toilets and cupboards which have been created in Lithuania by a local artist cabinet-maker from the drawings made by Odile’s husband when they were traveling. Bath products as well as bath towels and a hair dryer are at your disposal. The toilets outside the apartment are also equipped with a wash basin which can be used by the visitors staying in the second bedroom.
Please note: If you are 2 guests and you wish to book 1 bedroom each, the price is not that of 2 guests in one room (which would be 165euro) instead it is priced as 2 rooms at a discounted rate of 299euro per night for bpth guests. If you would like this arrangement please CONTACT US to request it.
Between room 2 and 3 on this second floor of the home you will have at your disposal a small living room as an en suite to both bedrooms which faces the main terrace with a large view on all the famous monuments of Paris. On the coffee table in this living room, a kettle and a set for warm drinks (tea, instant coffee and herb teas) will always be available, as well as some documentation on Paris. There is a small desk to write your postcards and mail or to check your emails when you wish.
There is also an accessible small room that is for guests exclusive use with a fridge and microwave for those guests who wish to store and warm up basic foods e.g soups. There is no cooking at this bed and breakfast. Note: these facilities will need to be shared with guests occupying the other guest room on the first floor offered at this B&B.

Comment: Odile was welcoming, kind, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying at her home (B&B). There was plenty of space for all 4 of us. Everything was very clean and had a lovely homely feeling. It was a very convenient situation for shopping and for public transport and it seemed a very safe area. She greeted us at the right time, gave us a lovely breakfast at the time we agreed to. She didn't mind the times we came and went and she seemed totally reliable and wanting us to enjoy staying there. I would happily recommend her B&B to my friends. Sincerely, Marion

Comment: Dear Regina, Thank you for your email and for asking for some feedback on Odile's accommodation. Everything went smoothly at Odile's accommodation. We were able to arrive more or less when we had indicated and she was there to greet us and to show us our rooms which were very suitable. One twin room did not have en suite facilities but the toilet and shower rooms appeared dedicated to our use only. There was also a small room with a fridge and a microwave that we were free to use if required. The tea and coffee facilities in the bedrooms were very much appreciated Odile was a pleasant host and she and her husband assisted us with settling in and directing us to suitable eateries in the neighbourhood. She also organized a suitable (large) taxi for us when we needed to leave to go to the airport. Breakfast was adequate with cereal, yoghurts, baguettes, disc-like ?rye biscuits and croissants, butter and jams. I would have appreciated some cheese and ham also to give some extra protein and non-sugar items to the breakfast. The view of the Eiffel Tower from the small lounge area between the bedrooms and from the northern bedroom was a real bonus and we enjoyed the sparkling tower in the evenings. The nearby Metro station was very useful for our travel around Paris and we also used a bus which dropped us very near to the apartment. The apartment was our base particularly for our visit to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Musee d'Orsay and Versailles and was well-placed for transport to these destinations. I would be happy to recommend this accommodation to other travellers. Thank you for arranging this for us.
