Comment: Ideal location; spacious room; comfortable bed; choice of pillows; very quiet fan/air con/heater; interesting décor; wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit, bread and pastries, and eggs cooked to order; fresh cakes and coffee maker available all day in breakfast room; attractive garden and conservatory; good wi-fi; and above all, lovely staff. It's hard to think how it could be improved.

Comment: This B&B is so beautifully decorated and the beds are super comfortable. It has a very serene feeling in the garden which was lovely when escaping the hustle and bustle of Porto. Lara and her team were very helpful and friendly. Lara recommended great places to eat and sights to visit. If we come back to Porto this is where we will stay. Absolutely loved it. It was also my boyfriends 30th birthday so the staff put some cake in our room which was really thoughtful. Best B&B in Porto x thank you for a wonderful stay

Comment: Thank you B&B In Porto. We had such a wonderful stay and our room was very comfortable, super-comfy bed, great bathroom with huge shower. Everything was very clean and tidy. The breakfast room was very lovely, with a contemporary style and fabulous breakfast. We finished our breakfast and sat in the sunshine in your garden drinking coffee. The staff were also really pleasant and friendly. On check in the young lady on reception, gave us so much information about Porto and the best places to visit that we used all her tips instead of the tourist information guide we had. It was superb advice. She recommended that we visit a restaurant called ABADIA - this was a superb choice! It was rather tucked away behind a small door entrance, but the restaurant was magnificent with excellent food, wine and really great waiters. Very Portuguese and very pleasant. Thank you, we really loved our stay with you and wish we could have stayed another night, but you were fully booked up which we completely understand! If you are visiting Porto, we would highly recommend staying here!
About the Neighbourhood
Our charming B&B InPorto is located in the Baixa (downtown) district, centre of Porto. Within walking distance to all the main attractions and an easy downhill walk to the gorgeous and mythical old town and the Duoro River banks and across to the Vila Gaia de Nova where the famous Port wine tasting cellars are. Some of the MUST see places nearby the B&B include:
Palacio da Bolsa - The Stock Exchange Palace, home and property of the Porto Commercial Association - Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Porto, is one of the main ex-libris and tourist attraction centers of the City and region
Tower of Clerigos - The Church of Clérigos is a genuine baroque work of mid-century XVIII, designed by Nasoni, an Italian origin architect who left his mark on many monuments of Porto and Northern Portugal
The Cathedral Se - Built in the 12th century, on a Romanesque style, the Cathedral has been altered all over the centuries, specially in the Gothic period and in the 18th century
Cais da Ribeira - the Ribeira Square, next to this Wharf, is one of the oldest Squares in the city, mentioned in old documents already in 1389
Dom Luis Bridge - Bridge projected over the amazing Douro river by a disciple and
co-worker of Gustave Eiffel: the Engineer Teófilo Seyring, in the end of
the 19th century. Be sure to take a memorable sail down the Douro river too on one of the many hoursly, half day or full day trips.
Port Wine Cellars - This is one of the historical places of this city that has been developed thanks to the famous porto wine. Situated in the Cais de Gaia, this was the place where, for centuries, stood the river port where various goods were exported and imported. Here arrived the production of wine to be aged in the cellars. There are more than 50 wine producing companies in Gaia, that transformed the wine into that we now recognize as Porto Wine
Some other highly recommended must-dos include:
- Livraria Lello - the famous bookshop that inspired HK Rowling to write her Harry Potter series. Easy to see why. 10mins walk from the B&B - MAP
- Sao Bento Railway - the main central station with its incredible floor to ceiling famous filed artwork is a must. 10 min walk from the B&B - MAP
